JUST FOR KIDS
Centerfest's TWO Kids Zones are packed with arts and play activities geared toward children. Children will be fully entertained as they explore the festival with their parents. Families can enjoy children's performers, special rides, and great hands-on art activities in the Kids Zone tent, staffed by Durham Arts Council instructors, staff and volunteers.
Activities this year include:
- Easel Painting - Paint your own masterpiece in colorful tempera paints. FREE
- Mask Making - Create your own festival mask using a variety of templates. Decorate your mask using sequins, feathers, found objects and more! FREE
- Magnet Art - Make your very own magnet to hang on the refrigerator! Cut out fun shapes, create animals or anything you can imagine. Then, place your artwork onto a magnetic sheet. FREE
- Jingle Bell Sticks - Using jingle bells, ribbon and dowels, you will create fantastic musical instruments that can be played all over town! FREE
